For a long time, young Africans have expressed their keen interest in the aerospace field and their desire to one day fly into space on different occasions. We would like to make our share of contribution in the realization of these dreams of space travel.

From March 1, 2023, the Secretariat of the Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the China Manned Space Engineering Office will jointly organize a painting competition with the theme "My dream". Young friends from Mauritius as well as other African countries are invited to draw their hopes and dreams and participate in the competition.

Different categories of prizes will be awarded to young African friends: Tianhe Prize (the first prize, 10 people, CNY4,000 for each); Wentian Prize (the second prize, 15 people, CNY 2,500 for each); Mengtian Prize (the third prize, 25 people, CNY 2,000 for each). All the winners will receive a trophy respectively, and the 10 outstanding award-winning paintings will enter the Tiangong space station by the Chinese spacecraft Shenzhou this year and be displayed directly on global social networks.

Young Mauritian friends wishing to participate in the competition are requested to submit their painting works before Friday, March 25, 2023 at the premises of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius, located at Royal Road, Belle Rose, Republic of Mauritius, with respectively a introduction of 200 words, and to send them also in electronic version by mail to chinaemb_mu@mfa.gov.cn, specifying in the object “Competition of Painting” with their names, telephone numbers and title of work. The paper material of the painting is not limited, but the specification should not exceed A3 paper in principle (length and width less than 420*297mm).
