Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius Bodha Highly Commends Sino-Mauritian Cooperation in the Fight Against Covid-19

On the evening of April 18, the first consignment of medical protective materials aided by the Chinese government arrived in Mauritius.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of Mauritius, Mr. Bodha has recently given an exclusive interview to reporters from CCTV in China, highly commending the cooperation between China and Mauritius in the fight against Covid-19. Mr. Bodha said that China has always been very supportive of Mauritius. We have had a number of donations from the Chinese government and the Communist Party of China, because we have very good collaboration at party level. We have had some universities and provinces who have been very thoughtful and have made some valuable donations. The most important thing for Mauritius has been to order in a massive way the much-needed testing kits, PPEs, ventilators and masks. I must say the collaboration has been very supportive and good. The Chinese Embassy in Mauritius  has facilitated the donations, humanitarian flights and customs clearances. So I must say that we have learned a lot from what has happened in China and we hope to continue the collaboration.
