Latest on Covid-19 in Mauritius

1.  On May 24, two Mauritian citizens who were repatriated from India tested positive for Covid-19. Till May 26th, Mauritius has recorded 334 cases, with 10 fatalities and 2 active cases.

2. Mauritian media reported that according to WHO recommendations, the restrictions on imports of live animals implemented since March this year will be lifted before long. The countries and regions involved include China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, EU, Switzerland and Reunion.

3.  The Minister of Tourism Lesjongard said that the Mauritian borders will be opened in phases and that preventive measures that meet health standards will be taken.
