Ambassador Sun Gongyi Meets with Minister of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms

On September 1, Ambassador Sun Gongyi met with  Mr. Hurdoyal, Minister of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms of Mauritius, and the two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the fields such as training of public officials between the two countries.

Ambassador Sun Gongyi highlighted that China and Mauritius have made remarkable progress in their cooperation in various fields in recent years, achieving notable effects in the training of public officials. As this year witnessed some difficulties in the training programme due to the Covid-19 pandemic, China is willing to work with Mauritius to explore a combination of online and offline training methods and resume work in this area as soon as possible.

Minister Hurdoyal expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its support and assistance in fighting the virus, saying that with the traditional friendship between China and Mauritius, Mauritius wishes to further strengthen cooperation in human resources development with China in the future to promote bilateral relations.

After the meeting, accompanied by Minister Hurdoyal, Ambassador Sun Gongyi donated face masks to representatives of four local primary schools in Mauritius.
