On November 24, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying held political consultations in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Under-Secretary of State of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jerzy Pomianowski. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on China-Poland relations, China-EU ties as well as other issues of common concern.
Fu said that China-Poland relations have been developing well in recent years. China attaches importance to relations with Poland and appreciates Poland's efforts to promote China-EU relations during its EU rotating presidency. She hoped that both countries will establish political ties of equality and mutual trust and win-win economic and trade relations to jointly push forward China-EU ties.
Pomianowski said that Poland admires China's development achievements, attaches importance to China's international status and influence, and hopes to enhance understanding through high-level visits, expand pragmatic cooperation and uplift the level of bilateral relations. Poland is willing to make greater contributions to the development of EU-China relations.
The deputy state secretary at the Office of the President of Poland attended the consultations.
