On December 5, 2019, Ambassador Sun Gongyi paid a courtesy call on Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance of Mauritius Seeruttun.

Ambassador Sun Gongyi congratulated Minister Seeruttun on assuming his new post and stated that the rapid development of Mauritius' financial services industry provides new opportunities for China and Mauritius to deepen pragmatic cooperation. He was convinced that the relevant preferential policies issued by the Mauritian government will attract more and more Chinese-funded enterprises to invest and start business in Mauritius.

Minister Seeruttun happily recalled his visit to China in 2016, admiring China's remarkable achievements in the economic and technological fields,and hoping that China and Mauritius will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in financial technology and financial professional training.
