On December 4, 2019, Ambassador Sun Gongyi met with Liao Yong, Vice President of Huawei's Southern Africa Region, and Xia Hesheng, the newly-appointed head of the South African Multinational Management Department at the Embassy. Ambassador Sun was fully briefed about Huawei's cooperation with Mauritius as well as Africa in the field of information communication and Internet. Commercial Counsellor Hu Ming was present at the meeting.
