Ambassador Sun Gongyi Pays a Courtesy Call on Leader of the Opposition of the National Assembly

On January 10, Ambassador Sun Gongyi paid a courtesy call on Mr. Boolell, Leader of the Opposition of the National Assembly in Mauritius.

Ambassador Sun Gongyi said that China-Mauritius relations are friendly and that there are broad prospects in cooperation. As the legislative bodies of the two countries have had close exchanges for a long time, China is willing to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries to promote the sustainable and healthy development of China-Mauritius relations.

The Leader of the Opposition Boolell said that Sino-Mauritian friendship boasts a long history and China has always been Mauritius's "unconditional friend" who has provided tremendous assistance for Mauritian economic and social development. Mauritius wishes to make joint efforts with China to promote exchanges between the legislatures of the two countries and expand practical cooperation in various fields.
